In fact, a Russian crime syndicate is blackmailing him to steal the Book of Kells, as Megan warned. Jack is on the hunt to avenge Megan and save a priceless historical artifact. His travels take him to Ireland and eventually Costa Rica. He is able to recover the volume containing the Gospel of John, but the Gospel of Luke is still missing.
